Region 1 Fall Meeting Online

The collective trauma of the last two years has affected library managers, staff, and patrons with added stress, exhaustion, and burnout. Join Margaret Norbert, LCSW from Sweetser for Psychological First Aid (PFA) training. This free training made possible by a grant from SAMSHA, will show us how to take care of ourselves and support each other. We’ll learn coping techniques, how to help others who have experienced trauma, and strategies to foster hope and resiliency in our communities. Margaret has even offered to hold some follow-up check-in sessions to help us debrief specific challenging situations with patrons and co-workers. The day-long session will provide a half-hour off for lunch and will NOT be recorded.

Deb Clark deborah.clark@maine.gov will email the Zoom link a couple days before the workshop. This session is limited to library personnel from York and Cumberland Counties.
