An Earth Day Poetry Reading

The Rockland Public Library presents a poetry reading in collaboration with the Farnsworth Museum of Art, Thursday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m., on Zoom. This event is free and open to all.

To celebrate Earth Day, the Farnsworth Art Museum asked twenty poets to share a poem that would be paired with a work of art in the museum’s collection on the theme of nature and our connection to the environment. Join several poets from the project as they read their remarkable work over Zoom. Then, visit the Farnsworth’s website (www.farnsworthmuseum.org) on April 22 to see the art that goes with each poem!

The Farnsworth Art Museum is home to a nationally recognized collection of art. Centering the work of Maine artists, the Farnsworth encourages visitors from around the world to gain a deep appreciation of the ongoing story of Maine’s role in American art. For more information on the Museum, visit www.farnsworthmuseum.org. For more information on the presenting poets, visit bit.ly/3bXjIbX.
