We are thrilled to invite you to join us during our upcoming Library Listening Tour. We will be traveling around the state this fall to reconnect or connect for the first time with library directors, staff, and trustees.

What will we talk about? We’ll walk through the Library Benchmarks of Excellence and the newly revised Maine Regional Library System. We’ll also provide a few updates about our services. The rest of the time we will spend in an open discussion so we can learn from you.  We’ll send out some discussion prompts in advance of each meeting to help ignite the conversation, but we hope you’ll bring your questions, ideas, concerns, and successes.  Note that at several of the locations we will include time focused on youth librarians and issues for library staff that work with youth.  

Why attend? With the recent changes at MSL, we in Library Development are working to prioritize staff capacity and resources to best serve your libraries. To be effective, we need your help!
