Agenda

US Department of Justice: Website Accessibility Compliance Overview for Local and State Government Organizations

  • Abby Olson and Erin Lotridge will be presenting from the Department of Justice on the purposes and general expectations – not technical – for state and local government website accessibility. Per DOJ rules, this presentation will not be recorded. Additionally, questions will not be fielded at the time of the presentation, but they may be submitted ahead of time.  For those unable to attend this segment, Abby and Erin will have information that may be distributed to learn more about this.
    • Abby is an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice, in the Disability Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division.  Prior to joining DOJ, Abby was a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  She graduated from Yale Law School.
    • Erin joined the Disability Rights Section of the Department of Justice as an Attorney Advisor this year after completing a clerkship on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Before law school, Erin worked with low-income parents, many of whom had disabilities, to achieve economic empowerment through higher education.
