Welcome to Minerva Cataloging Online
"Welcome to Minerva Cataloging" is an introduction to cataloging for Minerva newcomers. If you have previous library cataloging experience but are new to the Minerva system, this training has been prepared with you in mind.
If you are new to cataloging in general, this training will not teach the basic principles of cataloging, but it should help you navigate the mechanics of the Minerva catalog. We will review Minerva cataloging resources, standards, and procedures, and will discuss exceptions to the rules and other practices that are unique to Minerva.
Newcomers to Minerva cataloging, including those who are on the staff of a library that has just joined Minerva in the last several years, are highly encouraged to attend the Zoom session of "Welcome to Minerva Cataloging" on Friday, May 13. A follow-up Q & A session is scheduled on Friday, May 20th. Individuals who attend the first session will receive a Zoom link afterwards for the second session.
The training will be recorded, and a print edition will be posted online at the conclusion.
